Adjusting Tn108 - Teco Torque Sensitivity
For Plasma Torch Referencing:
You can change the sensitivity in the Teco Drive parameter TN108.
Current value should be at 22. Lower the setting to 18. Going lower than that may result in torch "referencing" in the air. If you find it not coming all the way down to the plate to reference even at 18, raise to 20.
Tn108 is the torque output monitor level. It ranges from 0-100%. When the motor reaches this torque percentage, it will activate an output signal that will tell the control that the motor is referenced or homed. If the re-reference output is activated when it starts accelerating or at other undesired times, then you may have to increase this value. To change Tn108, follow the procedure below:
Note: By briefly pressing the Enter button you can edit the other digits (ten’s place, hundred’s place, etc).
Press the Mode button until you get to Tn101. Using the up and down arrow keys, set the drive to Tn108. Hold down the Enter button and the drive will display the current value.
Set the display to the correct value. Hold down the Enter button and the display will return to the parameter you just changed.
Remove power from the drive until the screen completely goes blank. Then power it back up. Programming is complete.
*To see how much torque percentage the drive "sees", check parameter UN-02.
